My mom is way cool!
I just got my birthday present from Ma... an
iPod shuffle! I was able to squeeze 317 songs on to it and its ready to go!
THANKS MA!!!
One of those things I think is cool, but wouldn't buy for myself incase I never used it... but I'm thinking I'll be using it!
2nd trip to the PT was today, back is much better... will be out on the bike tomorrow and try to get 2 hrs easy. Wish me luck...
Ok.. the comments are now free with no signage upage. So, who's out there? Come on peeps, show me some
love.
Busy...
Sorry y'all, the jesus has been way too busy lately. Time to watch The B.L. and get back to my roots.... maybe even roll my way into the semis.
more later kiddos...
Haloscan commenting and trackback have been added to this blog.
A quick note with cool stuff site....
cool stuff
here
Comment spam? WTF?
Ok.. thanks for the "comments" everyone. Maybe if I have a need for horse figurines or getting my groove on on-line, I'll know where to go. Glad that the jesus inspires you... now go roll your rock!!
Seriously folks, I think I need to change blogging software. This free blogger template etc is cool, but it pisses me off that y'all (and I assume y'all are really out there) have to sign up with e-blogger to make a comment. That's just not right, so I'd like to
vamoose from e-blogger in protest. Any ideas? If so, please click on
my profile and shoot me your thoughts. I'd rather not pay anything, but if its really
COOL I'd consider it.
The ER sucks...
Espeically when you've got the uncontrollable shivers from some nasty flu... Yes, I got to drag my whole family down to the ER last night as I thought I must be dying. Shivering uncontrollably, thinking my insides would be squirting out my nose any moment, and in a generally bad way. Turns out just a bad case of the flu and all the symptoms were related to a 102.4 fever... needless to say, a '
fever' never seemed so bad. I'm much better today, but still have some body aches etc so I'll keep this short.
I must say it is nice to have my girls back.
Sammy crawled yesterday for the first time, it was cool and we both got to witness it!
You're my turd blossom....
Good news, the HMO Dr. finally reviewed the film of my back and said it's good. No arthritis, no degenerative or bulging disks, and really nothing remarkable to comment on.... My
Chiro is doing good! So why all the pain and in ability to even sit on the bike lately? It'll be a job for the PT, which is ok by me as long as we make some headway on this. I'm not ready to stop riding/racing just yet. Hell, I still want to retire to Southern France and be the 70 year old man who gets up, rides to the cafe', meets up with the 'team of geezers', shoots the
foutaise, and then rides for 3 hrs everyday.... wish me luck!
Yes I do...
ah hem...
Ok ok ok... so I need to be positive on my blog... but I just need to vent every now and then... a nice additude ajdustment Stags Leap Cab also helps. Yum.
I have actually had to start drinking some of my prized wines b/c they are getting past their prime and getting skunky. This must be a sign I'm getting older and much more patient than I have been. I opened on of my favorites, a 1998 St Supery Merlot a few days ago... and it was past its prime, way past it. So tonight, a prime time
wine to help curb my whine... yeah, cheezy I know but it's my nature.
Does anyone read this?
Wanna buy?
My pity party is off da hook, yo.
Man, I never thought my riding would end like this... sure, I thought I might burn out, slack off, get alittle fat, or slow down to the 35+ ranks... but off the bike b/c my back no worky? Fugg... not what I expected and not sure how to handle it.
Labor day weekend, my wife and
child were in Colorado which would normally mean MASSIVE hours on the bike, napping, and eating leading towards nirvana on my 37th birthday. I rode less than 1 block before I couldn't ride any further. I tried to do what non bike racers do, I went fishing and camped out with my dogs. That didn't go so well, didn't catch anything, well..other than my chin with a hook and possibly came too close for comfort to dying of dehydration. Of course I brought my mnt bike, which I crashed in slow motion due to a dog leash and got a nice bruise on my neck... pretty sad and my back is not getting any better.
Called the Dr. for the 3rd time today, I still have not heard how my x-rays looked that were taken back on Aug 22nd. Nothing, nada, zippo... unfortunately, this is how it has to be for the HMO. X-ray then MRI... My chiro gave up, saying there was nothing more he could do and I should see a ortho-pod or neurologist.... so I'm trying to. Almost 4 weeks off the bike... still hovering at 190lbs, but I have hair on my legs and I think they are atrophying.
Just about to garage sale the whole fleet of bikes... I just don't know what I would do with the money if I didn't buy another bike? sigh...
